Podcasts are best when they’re natural, say Revival Town hosts Andy King and Chuck Tate, “like sitting at a kitchen table just talking.”

Revival Town is entering its fifth year, and King and Tate were podcasting even before that separately, so they have a good handle on how it should feel, especially for guests.

“We really do try to make it feel like they’re sitting at a kitchen table just talking,” King said. “We want it laid back. Some people say, ‘You’ve got me for 30 minutes,’ and 45 minutes into it they’re the ones keeping it going. And then they say ‘Anytime if I’ve got another project (they’re available.)’”
